Educational Program at OAC "Domenikos who became EL GRECO"

The Orthodox Academy of Crete, with the recent acquisition of works of the film “EL GRECO” by Yannis Smaragdis and in the context of opening up to the educational community, invites all educational institutions to prepare an Educational Program as well as events on the subject: ”Reach for the stars!”- Domenikos who became “El Greco”–».
The Program will be based on the book by Nikos Kazantzakis: “Report to Greco." The presentations of this program during the current school year 2015-2016, by the educational institutions and students will take place in the context of Meetings to be organized by the OAC, according to the following Program plan.
Work at school: Study of passages of Nikos Kazantzakis' book "Report to Greco", simultaneous acquaintance with the life and work of Domenikos Theotokopoulos, aiming at the creation of works or artistic works.
Work in the OAC:
1st part: - "I El Greco” - “The palette of El Greco” (e.g. technique, colors, etc). - "The teacher El Greco” (Reference to artists inspired by El Greco (e.g. Pandelis Prevelakis, Nikos Kazantzakis, Yannis Smaragdis, Pablo Picasso, Rainer Maria Rilke, Paul Cezanne, Jackson Pollock and others). - Connecting Domenikos Theotokopoulos to Nikos Kazantzakis (specific reference to the book “Report to Greco” and the film of Yannis Smaragdis El Greco). - Self-motivation game: "Find the title."
2nd part: "Painting like El Greco”. Presentation of the work of students and Exhibition at the OAC site.
3rd part: Tour of the exhibit of works-replicas of the film “El Greco”.
