Invitation to presentation at conference

The Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC) in the context of its annual educational activities for the new academic year 2015-2016 and a general theme "Reading the texts about Crete by Nikos Kazantzakis, Pandelis Prevelakis and Eirinaios Galanakis (blessed Metropolitan of Kissamos and Selinon)", organizes next May (Arrival: Sunday, 8 May 2016 and Departure: 11 May 2016) Scientific Conference on the theme: Orthodoxy and Literature: Literature as a cultural medium and the creator in times of crisis”.

The art of speech has always been a concentration of life attitudes, which are inspired by the political environment and the continuous encounter with other similar environments passing from the familiar to the universal and vice versa.

Speech, either in poetry or in prosaic form, through the inextricable relationship of Orthodoxy and Literature and especially in the modern era of the crisis could be an opportunity to rediscover the anthropocentric dimension in outlook, which is imperative for today's Greek society.

Having therefore in mind the above, we invite you to participate and ask for your scientific contribution to this Conference. The lecture must be 20 minutes long and will be followed by discussion. Please submit the text for the publication of a collective Volume, which will follow after the end of the Conference.
