4th International Conference on New Frontiers in Physics

For the fourth consecutive year the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC) hosts the International Conference on new frontiers in physics (ICNFP2015). This Conference is co-organized by the University of Oslo in Norway, the University of Nantes, France, the Research Center Gesellschaft fur Schwerionenfirschung, Dramstad of Germany, with the participation of the important research organization CERN in Switzerland and the OAC.

Each year the Conference brings together more than 200 leading scientists from all parts of the world, especially from Europe, America and Australia, India, China, Japan etc. It is significant that the majority of participants are researchers from the leading research organization of the planet CERN. The Conference is interdisciplinary and presents the latest scientific discoveries in particle physics, astrophysics, cosmology, physics of hadrons and heavy ions.

The OAC offers the ideal environment for a similar Conference as a living organization that promotes and historically cultivates dialogue by offering its services in the development of interdisciplinary knowledge, based on communication and avoiding superficial approaches.

Along with the 200 lectures, there are also six cultural events during this Conference with free admission for the public. Following is a list of the internationally prestigious artists and speakers who came to our country and especially to Chania for the sake of this Conference:
